TOP OF TEXAS, El Paso's Four State Parks

Take a quick tour of El Paso's four Texas State Parks with noted El Paso author and historian Leon Metz in the new video from Capstone Productions, "Top of Texas, El Paso's Four State Parks."  Leon rides the Wyler Tramway, the only state park of its kind, to the top of El Paso's Franklin Mountains. From there, he takes us on tours of three more State Parks in El Paso. They are the Magoffin Home State Historic Site, Franklin Mountains State Park, and Hueco Tanks State Historic Site.

"The view from here is unmatched in the Lone Star State," says Metz on the video. "We see two countries – Mexico and the United States – and the Rio Grande that forms the border between them."

Capstone Productions Inc. encourages you to donate the Lone Star Legacy Endowment Fund. The Fund is critical to the development of programs and improvements at El Paso's State Parks, since they receive no tax dollars from the state. Operating funds for Parks all across the state come only from Park admission fees and the sale of hunting and fishing licenses. When you donate to the Fund, every penny stays in El Paso to help develop programs and make improvements at local State Parks.

'Top of Texas, El Paso's Four State Parks" is now bonus material on the DVD of "Legends of El Paso's Mountains." Share El Paso's remarkable heritage with friends and relatives out of town by sending them "Top of Texas, El Paso's Four State Parks" with the "Legends" DVD. It presents El Paso's State Parks in an easy-to-watch format that's appropriate for all members of your family.
