"TOP OF TEXAS, El Paso’s Four State Parks" Video Completed

El Paso, Texas, September 6, 2002 —— Capstone Productions Inc. has just completed a new short video, "TOP OF TEXAS, El Paso’s Four State Parks." The ten-minute program is hosted by El Paso author and historian Leon Metz. The Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife commissioned the video to benefit the Legacy Foundation Fund of each of El Paso’s four State Parks.

"We have great history and wonderful things to see at each of our four El Paso Parks," said Carolina Ramos, Manager of the El Paso State Parks Complex for Texas Parks and Wildlife. "In our arrangement with Capstone Productions Inc., Capstone will donate half of the proceeds of the VHS tape sales to the Park Foundation at each of our four El Paso Parks. The funds stay in El Paso for projects at each Park that the State cannot fund. We hope the public enjoys this video and helps support the Texas State Parks in El Paso."

In the program, "TOP OF TEXAS, El Paso’s Four State Parks," Leon Metz stands on the observation deck of the Wyler Aerial Tramway to narrate a short tour of each of the State Parks in El Paso County. Original music by Tim Thompson, "The Top of Texas," sets the them of the program. The digital video was produced by Jackson Polk, Capstone Productions Inc., and captures beautiful views and scenery at the Franklin Mountain State Park, Hueco Tanks State Historical Site, The Wyler Aerial Tramway State Park, and Magoffin Home State Historical Site. "We did a quick ‘museum tour’ of these sites to give the viewer an overview of the Texas Parks in El Paso," said Jackson Polk of Capstone Productions Inc. "The hope is that the public will want to see more and then visit the Parks. Capstone may also produce longer versions of some of the Parks for PBS broadcast in the near future."

"TOP OF TEXAS, El Paso’s Four State Parks" will be shown on September 17th at the Silent Auction to benefit the Legacy Funds at each El Paso State Park. The dinner event will be at the Airport Holiday Inn. Call 915-781-1932 ext. 21 for more information. VHS videos will be available for $15.00 plus tax by check or money order through Capstone Productions Inc. at www.elpasogold.com . Capstone Productions Inc. is an El Paso-based producer of heritage television programs about the El Paso del Norte region.
