Premiere of new DVD

       “Ghost Stories of El Paso

Free public showing on All Saints Day

El Paso, Texas (Oct. 15, 2008) — Capstone Productions Inc. announces its latest DVD to explore the history and heritage of El Paso; in this program, the history of ghosts and spirits in El Paso.

"Ghost Stories of El Paso, Vol.1” recounts the tales of ghosts, spirits, energy orbs and maybe even miracles in the El Paso area.

Viewers are there as psychics talk to ghosts – and the ghosts talk back – in stories that play out at some of El Paso’s most historic locations.

The 60-minute program takes viewers to Concordia Cemetery, Magoffin Home, Keystone Heritage Park, El Paso High School, Mount Cristo Rey, the Main Library, the Plaza Theater and the Franklin Mountains.

The DVD was produced and narrated by noted documentary storyteller Jackson Polk.

"Some things are just hard to explain," said Polk. "But with thousands of years of history here in west Texas, you’re bound to run into some ghosts, spirits or other unusual occurrences.”

Polk said the program does not prove or disprove any of El Paso’s ghost stories, but it does document eyewitness accounts and urban legends about ghosts in the region.

A free public premiere of “Ghost Stories of El Paso, Vol. I” will be held at 2 p.m. on All Saints Day, Saturday, Nov. 1 in the auditorium of the Main Library in Downtown El Paso.

The showing is part of Dia de los Muertos celebrations organized by the City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department.

Following the screening, producer Jackson Polk and several people who appear in the video will take questions from the audience.

Jackson Polk has produced numerous TV documentaries about El Paso’s history and heritage. For more information and to order the new DVD "Ghost Stories of El Paso, Vol.1" go to www.elpasogold.com.
