Named Marketing Manager of
El Paso Gold DVDs and Videos
El Paso, Texas -- Capstone Productions Inc. announces the appointment of Lynn Russell Polk as marketing manager of its El Paso Gold Heritage Television Series, produced by the company on video and DVD.
The appointment, by Jackson Polk, owner of Capstone Productions Inc., signals a new direction for the El Paso-based television production company, which specializes in producing TV programs about El Paso heritage.
"I enjoyed working with Lynn Russell at the El Paso County Historical Society before she met and married my brother, Barnard Polk," said Jackson Polk. "Lynn has extensive knowledge of El Paso’s rich history and heritage, and understands the importance of promotion. She helped develop some DVDs in the El Paso Gold series, and will be a great asset to the El Paso Gold marketing efforts, and in promoting El Paso."
Lynn Russell Polk was executive director of the El Paso County Historical Society for four years, and for 10 years was director of the Centerville-Washington Township Historical Society and Museums in Ohio. A native El Pasoan, Lynn Russell Polk is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso.
The El Paso Gold TV programs now on DVD from Capstone Productions Inc. include "Legends of El Paso’s Mountains," "Gunfights of the Old West," "El Paso’s Magoffin Home," "elpasogold Visitors Channel," and "V2 Rocket at White Sands Missile Range, N.M." Several short videos, including "Top of Texas, El Paso’s Four State Parks," "El Paso Gold Poppies," and "The Spirit of El Paso’s Mission Trail" are included as bonus material on some El Paso Gold series DVDs.
Several Capstone programs have been broadcast on El Paso’s PBS station, KCOS. Jackson Polk said new El Paso Gold Heritage Television Series titles are planned for release in 2006.
